Kingdom Living with God’s Covenant
God’s promises are always true. HE fulfills HIS part of a promise. Proverbs 3:5-6 offers a conditional covenant: if you do your part then God always does HIS part.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Here is your part:
- Trust in the LORD
- Trust with all of your heart
- Don’t lean on your own understanding
- In ALL of your ways acknowledge HIM
The condition of the covenant requires that you fulfill all four elements of your part before God will fulfill HIS part and guarantee HIS PROMISE.
- Do you trust the Lord?
- Do you trust the Lord with All of your heart?
- Are you self-confident trusting in yourself and your knowledge more that the Lord?
- Is there something God wants to do in your life but because you have not trusted HIM with all of your heart and ways, your path has not been straight?
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9
How are you doing leaning and acting on your own understanding, your perceptions, your emotions and your thoughts versus the wisdom from God and HIS ways and thoughts? Is your path straight?
No matter the circumstance, problem or issue God wants to make your path straight. God always wants the best for you. As with the Israelites, they had to spend 40 years wandering the desert before the next generation went into the Promised Land because of their disobedience. Joseph had to go through the pit and prison before he was lifted up to the Palace. David had to spend years in caves before becoming King. Many times your part is to humble yourself before the mighty hand of God and HE will lift you up. You may need to be broken of your pride, ego and selfish desires before the Lord can do HIS part.
Acknowledge HIM today as Lord as you trust HIM with your health, family, finances, problems, provision and protection. Do your part of the covenant and watch HIM do HIS part.
