Kingdom Living recognizes Jesus as Savior and Lord
Religion recognizes Jesus as a teacher and prophet. Kingdom of God living recognizes Jesus as savior and Lord. Your perspective will impact how you receive your privileges in the Kingdom of God.
36 When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table.
37 A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume.
38 As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.
39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”
40 Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.”
“Tell me, teacher,” he said. – Luke 7:36-40
Simon the Pharisee saw Jesus as a teacher and compared him to a prophet. The Pharisee’s perspective was focused on religious doctrine, rules, learning and keeping the law.
However, the prostitute saw Jesus as her Savior and Lord. Her sins had been totally forgiven, once and for all, forever. She worshipped and anointed Jesus as Lord. These are two distinct perspectives about Jesus.
Your perspective of Jesus will affect your reception. When you move from viewing Jesus as being a teacher and prophet to being Savior, LORD, Father and King you enter Kingdom of God Living with Shalom peace, righteousness, peace and joy which passes all understanding. Your sins, guilt, shame, fear, regret, condemnation, abuse and anxiety is totally washed clean forever and ever by Jesus’ blood. You are redeemed and healed by the blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross. You are made righteous in Jesus Christ.
Your perspective has changed from trying to learn from a teacher about God to receiving all the Holy Spirit has for its citizens of the Kingdom of God. The Holy Spirit is your teacher revealing the Truth of God. He reveals your need for a savior, righteous and that Satan has been judged. You receive citizenship and your passport into the Kingdom of God. You receive your new identity in Christ Jesus.
Holy Spirit, I want everything YOU have for me. I want to receive every good and prefect gift you have for me. I am your beloved child. Your favor is on me today.
Thank you for being my Savior, Lord, Redeemer, Master and King.
