Kingdom Living is Water For Your Soul
Kingdom Living is Water For Your Soul
Is your soul satisfied?
Are you going through a dry season in your life? King David wrote Psalm 63 in the desert, yet his soul was satisfied.
O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.
My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. Psalm 63:1-5
David had an intimate personal relationship with God. He had witnessed the power and glory of God in his own life. He had experienced the forgiveness of his sin. He was healed of his adulterous affair with Bathsheba and murder of Uriah. David praised God with his lips and with all of HIS soul.
Can you say God has satisfied you like the richest and best meal of your lifetime? Can you say you earnestly seek God? Can you say your soul thirsts after God? Can you say your body longs after God?
David knew that nature’s water would not sustain him for eternity. David knew God was the only water which would satisfy his soul. This is why David’s body and soul longed for the everlasting water of God. David sought God with all of his heart.
When you earnestly seek God you will find HIM, when you seek HIM with all of your heart. God quenches the thirst of your soul. Your satisfaction from God is better than the richest meal. Maybe you have tried other ways to quench your thirst through wealth, power, position and prestige. They are empty and dry.
Water your soul with the Word of God by praise. Speak aloud to HIM and sing to HIM of God’s glory. Tell HIM how you have seen HIS power and glory. Let God’s power and glory shine through you today. You are the Church. Praise HIM in all circumstances today. HE will never leave you nor forsake you. Drink from the water fountain which will never run dry. God’s word will never run dry. Invite HIS SPIRIT in you today and walk in HIS strength. You can walk on God’s water today and not sink.
