Kingdom Living is Knowing Tetelestai

What does Tetelestai mean? Tetelestai is from the Greek word which means “It is Finished.”

“It is Finished” as recorded in the Book of John (19:30) are the last words that Jesus spoke on the cross. Tetelestai means to bring to an end, to complete, to successfully accomplish a certain course of action.

Jesus sacrificed His life for the redemption of all mankind. He said, “Tetelestai” (it is finished). Our debt was “paid in full.” God’s love was demonstrated through the sacrifice of Jesus to redeem all mankind from the Satanic Fallen World. He paid in full to restore and redeem all mankind back to our FATHER.

“It is finished” means HE defeated Satan’s legal authority over God’s children on earth. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.  Satan’s defeat was secured on the cross of Calvary.

When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Colossians 2:13-15

Jesus’ victory cry “It is finished” meant all past, present and future sin is redeemed, paid for in full. There is no more unfinished business. The redemption is complete.

Sin and death have been conquered. All sin, adultery, unforgiveness, abuse, loneliness, fear, worry, anger, arrogance, pride, drunkenness, fornication, gossip, hatred, jealousy, lying, theft, dishonesty, lust, disobedience, rebellion, slothfulness, remorse, disgrace, embarrassment, mistake, murder, self-pity, rejection, and self-righteousness has been paid in full. “Tetelestai.”

Death has no more sting. “Tetelestai.” It is finished. We have victory over sin and death. There is no sin which Jesus did not redeem.

Tetelestai!!!!!!
