Kingdom Living as an Heir
14 For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading again to fear [of God’s judgment], but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons [the Spirit producing sonship] by which we [joyfully] cry, “Abba! Father!”
16 The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God.
17 And if [we are His] children, [then we are His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His spiritual blessing and inheritance], if indeed we share in His suffering so that we may also share in His glory.

I am an heir of God!
13 For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would be heir of the world was not through [observing the requirements of] the Law, but through the righteousness of faith.
14 If those who are [followers] of the Law are [the true] heirs [of Abraham], then faith [leading to salvation] is of no effect and void, and the promise [of God] is nullified.
15 For the Law results in [God’s] wrath [against sin], but where there is no law, there is no violation [of it either].
16 Therefore, [inheriting] the promise depends entirely on faith [that is, confident trust in the unseen God], in order that it may be given as an act of grace [His unmerited favor and mercy], so that the promise will be [legally] guaranteed to all the descendants [of Abraham]—not only for those [Jewish believers] who keep the Law, but also for those [Gentile believers] who share the faith of Abraham, who is the [spiritual] father of us all.

When do you inherit?
You inherit at the death of the grantor or benefactor.
You inherit usually because you are a child of the person who died.
You inherit because the person who died wants you to receive HIS INHERITANCE.
You are given an inheritance because you are in the BLOOD LINE of the person who died or was adopted into the BLOOD LINE.
Your inheritance is to be an heir of the world. You received your inheritance at Jesus death on the Cross through HIS FINISHED work. You are an heir of this world. This makes the devil mad because since the fall of man, he is the prince of this world. As an heir you have rule over the works of the devil. You have dominion and authority over the devil.
I am a child of God in Christ Jesus!
I am a son or daughter of Jesus Christ!
I am an heir of the world!
I am an heir of God!
