In Kingdom Living, Forgiveness Wins

Imagine if we kept a relationship scorecard. In many relationships you expect the other person to ask for forgiveness and for him or her to change. Imagine if we made forgiving a game of fun and excitement.

We will call this game: “The first one to the cross wins.” The first one to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness wins. When you change your thinking to vertical by seeking God versus horizontal and pointing fingers, blaming, becoming hurt, angry and mad, you will win.

Here are some of the rules of the game. The first one to forgive from his heart gets a point. The points are totaled at the end of each day. You must forgive from your heart. Just saying the words ”I forgive you” will not work. It must be complete forgiveness from your heart. You must agree to never bring up the hurt again. You must totally remove the wrong from your thinking.

God’s scorecard is always looking for you to forgive, change and be reconciled to God and others. God measures a winner by the first to the cross of forgiveness. The first one to seek the Kingdom of God wins. God’s scorecard offers complete contentment, joy, peace, gentleness, love, faithfulness, patience, goodness, kindness and self-control.

The loser gets to continue to live in empty frustration, unforgiveness, anger, fear, shame and guilt.

When someone has hurt you, which is easier for you: to forgive or to hold a grudge and unforgiveness in your heart? Imagine now playing the forgiveness game. Now you can rush to forgive the person who hurt you. You win!

Matthew 6:15
But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Mark 11:25
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.

Luke 6:37
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

You win the game when you are the first to forgive and forgive from your heart. You are a winner. Go have fun living a life of forgiveness today. Forgive as you have been forgiven. You will experience a Peace which passes all understanding.
