CHRISTmas God’s Presence
CHRISTmas “God’s Presence.”
One of the greatest gifts God has given is HIS Presence. HE said HE would never leave you or forsake you. HE will be with you when the rivers of life are rough and troubled. You will be able to walk through the fires of problems and circumstances and not get burned. God did not promise to take away the troubled waters or the fire. HE promised HE would be there with you.
BUT NOW [in spite of past judgments for Israel’s sins], thus says the Lord, He Who created you, O Jacob, and He Who formed you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you [ransomed you by paying a price instead of leaving you captives]; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you. Isaiah 43:1-2
Are you looking for a bridge or boat to get you out of the rough waters as they are rising? Are you looking for an escape from your problems or circumstance? God has promised to be with you in the rough waters. You will not sink. When you are between a rock and a hard place, HE is with you. Which is more important to you an escape or to know HIS PRESENCE in the middle of the rough waters? There are no dead ends or mountains to big for God. HIS PRESENCE is more important than a bridge of escape. HIS glory is shown through the rough waters and the fire.
In Daniel we read about God’s Presence in the furnace with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king [saw and] was astounded, and he jumped up and said to his counselors, did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered, True, O king. He answered, Behold, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt!
When you Seek Him, you will find Him, when you seek Him with all your heart. Seek HIS PRESENCE. HE has already shown up. HE created ALL. Stop looking for an escape and start seeking HIS PRESENCE.
Watch the river waters calm with HIS PRESENCE. Watch the circumstance change. God’s Presence in the midst of the fire brings you peace. God wants you to trust HIM to deliver you from the circumstance.
God’s Glory of HIS Presence, HIS Power and HIS Goodness is greater than gold. You are a redeemed child of God. You have been forgiven. You have been set free from sin and death. You are not under the water of condemnation. Seek first the Kingdom of God and HIS PRESENCE. Seek to know HIM with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength and walk in HIS POWER and LOVE.
