The Meaning of Enforcement.
What does enforcement mean?
Enforcement means to uphold, to carry out, to apply, to implement, to represent, to administer, to stand upon what has already – look at this – to stand upon what has already been established.
The court establishes the verdict. The law enforcement enforces the verdict.
So the court establishes the verdict. The judge establishes the ruling. He declares the law. He issues the verdict. He sets the outcome.
So enforcement is not creating the verdict. It is carrying out the verdict. It is representing what has already been established.
So what we have is law enforcement enforces that verdict – Officers do not create the verdict. They enforce the law. They apply the verdict. They see is carried out.
Now likewise, in the kingdom of God, Jesus established the verdict. He said it is finished.
Jesus established the verdict. He lived the perfect life. He died for our sins. He rose in power. He declared it is finished.
The victory is already won. The victory is established. It is finished. It is complete. We do not earn it. We do not earn the victory. We have received it and live from that. And believers do not create the victory. We live by grace through faith.
We walk in His righteousness. We enforce His words. We represent His kingdom. We manifest His victory.
So what we see here standing on what is already established, representing the authority of the King, applying truth in every situation, carrying out Heaven’s reality into the earth, living as an ambassador on earth of Christ, manifesting the finished work.
So now then, we are ambassadors of Christ as though God were pleading through us. We pray you are in Christ’s seed and you are reconciled to God. So we are enforcing the love and the peace and the joy of the kingdom of God here on earth.
