Not Guilty!

Not Guilty is the divine verdict and we are righteous!

A divine verdict is God’s final word about who you are in Christ.

It cancels every accusation from sin, shame, anxiety, decay, death, or the enemy. It establishes your innocence, acceptance, and oneness with God.

It’s not a verdict of pending judgment, but a verdict of eternal union.

The final verdict is that you are righteous, holy, blameless, and fully accepted in Christ.

The divine verdict is righteousness. And this is in Romans 5:16-18 in the Passion translation.

And this free flowing gift imparts to us much more than what was given to us through the one who sinned, Adam, who because of the one transgression, we are all facing a death sentence with a verdict.

Look at this: A verdict of guilty.

But this gracious gift leaves us free from our many failures and brings us into the perfect righteousness of God.

Acquitted. Here we are with the words “Not Guilty!”

We’ve been made righteous. We’re not guilty. Death once held us in its grip. By the blunder of the one man, Adam, death reigned as king over humanity.

But now, but now, here it is now – 2,000 years later! How much more are we held in the grip of grace and continue reigning as KJings in life, enjoying our legal freedom through the gift, the gift of perfect righteousness and the one and only Jesus the Messiah.

In other words, just as condemnation came upon all people through one transgression, so through one righteous act of Jesus’s sacrifice, the perfect righteousness that makes us right with God and leads us into a victorious life is now available to all.

Amen and amen.
