Make it your New Year’s resolution to submit to the Lord and be delivered as did Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They refused to serve other gods or to worship the golden statue. God has promised HE will never leave you nor forsake you.

 

Are you bowing to an idol? What are you worshipping?

 

Burn and condemn your idols of injustice, greed, pride, selfish desire, lust, lack, anger, jealousy, unforgiveness, hurt, regret, rejection, sickness and fear.

 

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied,

“O Nebuchadnezzar,

we do not need to defend ourselves before you.

If we are thrown into the blazing furnace,

the God whom we serve is able to save us.

He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty.

But even if he doesn’t,

we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty,

that we will never serve your gods

or worship the gold statue you have set up.”

 

Which is more important – your idol or God? What is standing in your way of complete surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ? God’s best is waiting for you. HE will be with you in the fiery furnace.

 

What needs to be burned in the furnace to get your attention?

 

● Does your pride need to go through the fiery furnace?

 

● Do your relationships need to go through the fiery furnace?

 

● Do your finances need to go through the fiery furnace?

 

● Does your health need to go through the fiery furnace?

 

You cannot survive the fiery furnace in the flesh. The three guards who threw Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego into the furnace were killed by the fire. Yet Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego survived because the pre-incarnate Christ was in the furnace with them. Christ is with you.

 

This year seek the furnace of love, forgiveness and reconciliation over the idol of greed, pride, selfish desire, lust, lack, anger, jealousy, unforgiveness, hurt, regret, injustice, rejection, fear, revenge, being threatened and holding a grudge. Seek to renew your mind and thinking by the washing of God’s Word.

 

Are you addicted to the Word of God or to the powerful drugs of TV, the internet, politics, sports, work, pleasure, power and prestige?

 

God wants to transform your total character, thinking and being into HIS likeness.

 

Jesus came to bring the Kingdom of Heaven to live in you now. Life is in God the Holy Spirit living in you. You have the power and authority to stand against the deceptive schemes of the satanic rule of this world so that you will not be burned going through the fiery furnace.

 

You can trust God the Holy Spirit to guide you.
