How do you know you are in Christ? Whoever claims to live in Christ walks as Jesus did which is to be made complete in love. Your walking is a step-by-step process. When you profess Jesus Christ as Lord and believe that HE was raised from the dead, you receive the gift of salvation and the gift of righteousness through the Holy Spirit. Your Spiritual walk begins. There is a new direction with total forgiveness of sin past, present and future. Your new path begins as the Word of God is revealed to you in Christ Jesus.
The problem is your mind and five senses have not been renewed through the Word of God. Your thoughts, life, and flesh conflict with your new born-again Spirit living in you. Which will rule in you the Holy Spirit of God living in you or your five senses?
3 We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. 4 The man who says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: 6 Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did. 1 John 2:3-6
Walking by faith is a transformational process of decision making. Just like learning to walk as a baby is a step-by-step process, learning to walk in the Spirit is a step-by-step process. The transformational renewal process of your mind by moving from living by your five senses to living in the Spirit is a walk with Jesus.
Walking in the Spirit is a process of change over time with each step in the Spirit. So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. Galatians 5:16-17
As you walk in the Spirit making thousands of daily decisions of obedience, your flesh and five senses will become trained. The Spirit of God in you is greater than the five senses. The Spirit of God living in you by the power of the Holy Spirit is Christ in you, the victor over sin and death.
The victorious life overcomes you allowing the Power of Christ in you to rule over your flesh. Put off the old and put on the Christ in you. Walk in the victory of the resurrected Christ who is in you. The resurrected power of God is living in you through the Holy Spirit.
6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:6-7
6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. 2 John 1:6
Kingdom Living is walking in love speaking LIGHT into darkness.
