Did you take your vitamins today? This is a common daily question in many families.
Which is more important – taking your vitamins today or reading the Word of God today? What would happen in families across America if the question shifted from inquiring about your daily vitamins to inquiring if you read your Bible today? Vitamins are extremely important for the body. Reading your Bible is extremely important for your spirit, soul and body in growing a healthy life eternally.
But the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. Mark 4:19
The worries, cares and anxiety of this world choke out the life God has intended for you. Vitamins can give you energy, however the vitamin which regenerates the muscles, marrow and blood is God’s Word. God’s Word will give you a peace which passes all understanding in the midst of a storm.
Your hope in the Lord will help you through cloudy days. As God’s Word grows in your life it will be like a rainbow after the storm. The light on the mist of rain causes the rainbow. God’s light shining through the Word of God is a light and lamp for you during the cloudy, dark storms of life. Vitamins are of little value in the storms of life. God’s Word is your strength and help during troubled times.
God did not give you a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. The strength needed daily is best found in daily worship and praise in the Word of God. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Abiding daily by the knowledge you are loved by Abba Father will give you strength. Your strength comes from the Lord. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.1 Corinthians 1:25
Live everyday in the confidence and strength of the Lord Jesus Christ. You are a redeemed child of God. Let the meditations of your heart be filled with God’s Word such that the joy of the Lord flows out of every part of your being. Your mouth will overflow with praise and thanksgiving to the Lord.
Kingdom Living strength is found only in the Lord. Kingdom Living strength brings streams of living water to your mind, will, emotions and body. Kingdom Living strength is found with the Word of God living in you now through the Holy Spirit.
