Kingdom Living Shouts Victory

Kingdom Living Shouts Victory

When do you shout, “victory” before or after you experience victory?

Listen to God’s instruction for victory in Jericho. It makes no sense in reality. Yet it made perfect sense to Joshua. Are you going to trust God to shout “victory!” before the victory? It takes no faith to shout victory after you have received victory. It takes faith to shout “victory” before you receive victory.

Then the LORD said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men. March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have all the people give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the people will go up, every man straight in.” But Joshua had commanded the people, “Do not give a war cry, do not raise your voices, do not say a word until the day I tell you to shout. Then shout!” When the trumpets sounded, the people shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the people gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so every man charged straight in, and they took the city. Joshua 6:2-5,10,20

God instructed the Israelites to walk around Jericho a total of 12 times before they could shout. Are you facing a Jericho? Are the people on the wall jeering at you? Do you trust God for your victory? If you were victorious would you claim the victory as your own? The victory is the Lord’s. Don’t give up after walking around the wall (your circumstance) only one time. Keep walking and keep your mouth shut. Joshua told the people to not speak until they were commanded to shout.

After you have walked around your problem a number of times, God will tell you when to shout. Walking around the wall is preparation for the shout because it breaks your pride, it humbles you and it makes you dependent on God. Shout “victory” over your broken relationship. Shout “victory” for that rebellious child. Shout “victory” for the lost job. Shout “victory” for the health problem. Shout “victory” over your unjust circumstance. Shout “victory” over your past regrets and shame.

When you shout “victory” before the victory, God gets the Glory. When you shout  “victory” after the victory, you get the glory. Give God the Glory for your circumstance and problem. Learn to keep your mouth shut and just keep walking around Jericho. HE has overcome the world. There is no problem or circumstance which the LORD did not take on the cross through HIS DEATH. Shout victory over your problem or circumstance when God tells you. Are you looking at the problem or at the LORD the solution (victory)? Seek first God’s Kingdom and His Righteousness today. Your victory is in Christ Jesus. He took all sickness, injustice, shame, condemnation, judgement and the curse on the cross by HIS blood. The Lord came to reconcile all mankind to HIMSELF. He declared it is finished.
