Kingdom Living is Productive
Labor in vain
1 Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. – Psalm 127:1 NIV
1 If God’s grace doesn’t help the builders, they will labor in vain to build a house.
If God’s mercy doesn’t protect the city, all the sentries will circle it in vain. – Psalm 127:1 TPT
Vain means not yielding the desired outcome; fruitless: a vain attempt. Lacking substance or worth: vain talk: having no real value: marked by futility or ineffectualness.
What are you building? Are you building a family, career, business, Church?
Unless God’s grace through the Holy Spirit builds your family, career, business and Church, it is in vain. Human effort is empty and worthless. When we trust the Holy Spirit to guide us, we will be building on a solid foundation. Without such a total reliance upon the Holy Spirit, all our efforts and activities are doomed to failure.
What is the key to total reliance upon God?
23 He replied to them, “Now is the time for the Son of Man to be glorified.
24 Let me make this clear: A single grain of wheat will never be more than a single grain of wheat unless it drops into the ground and dies. Because then it sprouts and produces a great harvest of wheat—all because one grain died. – John 12:23-24 TPT
Think about this: You are more productive in death. You are the most fruitful when you get out of the way and die to self. You are an unproductive single seed until you die to self. True production and true fulfillment come when you serve and recognize the Creator God. When you come under HIS authority and rule, you can call HIM LORD. You have stepped down as king and HE has become KING.
When you die to self your labor becomes productive.
When you die to your rights, your ownership, your title, your position, your pride, your desires, your cravings, and your boasting, you are able to better hear the Holy Spirit leading and guiding you. He wants you to produce many seeds. HE is the God of abundance and production.
Kingdom Living produces a harvest.
For God is a Spirit, and he longs to have sincere worshipers who worship and adore him in the realm of the Spirit and in truth. – John 4:24 TPT
You are made in the image of God
“The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it will remain a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. If anyone loves his life he will lose it. While if anyone hates his life in this world he will keep it in eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me and where I am there my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” – John 12:23-26
