Kingdom Living no matter the Circumstance
Kingdom Living no matter the Circumstance
6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,
9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,
10 but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,
11 to which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day. – 2 Timothy 1:8-12 NKJV
What trial or circumstances are you facing that seem beyond your ability to handle? Paul was writing from prison. Paul could have been filled with fear and worry, yet he was confident in the power of God that has saved him. Whatever worry or fear you may be experiencing, know that Jesus Christ has overcome death. Through your relationship with God, HE has given you the Spirit of power, love and a sound mind. You can guard and trust your heart to the one who has forgiven and redeemed you. Jesus Christ overcame death. You can trust God to overcome the problem or circumstance that is holding you back from trusting HIM.
Turn your confidence and trust to the resurrected Christ.
Your confidence in the resurrected Christ brings comfort, peace, hope and purpose during the trial or circumstance. You can now rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I say rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. Allow the enemy to fall in front of you. Watch the fear go away as you trust God with your circumstance. Jesus Christ has already won the battle. Saul was David’s enemy and Saul fell on his own sword and killed himself. Allow God to do the work in your life. The enemy of fear, doubt, worry, anxiety and death is defeated in Christ Jesus. Focus on your Love relationship with the God. Seek First the Kingdom of God and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS with all your heart.
Paul gave up everything for Christ. Are you willing to give up everything for Christ which includes your problem and circumstance to trust the Holy Spirit? Jesus said: unless you give up everything and follow me, you cannot be my disciple.
