Kingdom Living is understanding the depth of God’s love

Does God love you because you have surrendered your life to HIM?

Does God love you because you are following HIS ways?

Can you influence God’s love for you by loving HIM?

You cannot influence God. God’s love for you does not change because you love HIM. God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. God’s love for you is not based upon you. If you base God’s love on your actions, you are limiting God. He first loved you before you even knew HIM. HE has loved you from the beginning when HE made you and first thought of you. God loves you regardless of who you are. You are a sinner born into a fallen and sinful, selfish world. You are born with the disease of sin. God loves you in spite of your sin.

God demonstrated HIS love for ________(put your name). While ______(your name) was still in sin Christ died for _______(your name).

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

God loves you because HE chose to place HIS love upon you. God loves you regardless of who you are or what you have done. God is not influenced by you. He chooses to love you. It is because of God’s grace HE chooses to love you.

The father’s love for the prodigal son did not change because of the prodigal’s rebellion in seeking self-pleasures. The father ran toward his son to meet him when the prodigal returned home. The prodigal was broken and humbled and recognized he was wrong. He was seeking reconciliation with his father. Your heavenly father’s arms of comfort are always open when you come home and stop seeking other idols to satisfy your desires.

God’s love is not conditional upon you. The prodigal suffered because of his selfish desires, rebellion against his father and his prideful thinking. You will also suffer if you are trusting in this world for your fulfillment.

God loved you so much, HE sent HIS only son to die for your sin before you were born. He came to redeem you and forgive you of your sin. He came that you might have life. He came that you would have abundant life. He came to give you eternal life. He came to reconcile you to HIMSELF, your heavenly father.
