Kingdom Living is Knowing This.
Many people because of their lack of knowledge do not realize they are freed from the power of sin, death, discouragement, defeat, anger, regret, shame, guilt, fear, lust, addictions and unforgiveness.
The following scripture in Romans 6 is telling you something very important which you need to KNOW.
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Your old man, old nature, sinful nature is dead. It has been nailed to the cross in/with Christ Jesus. A dead man is freed from sin. Your new nature is in the resurrected Christ Jesus. Stop identifying with the dead, unrenewed self, old man, sinful nature.
Receiving the Gift of Righteousness by faith in and through Jesus Christ has freed you from the old man, old nature, sinful nature. You are freed but maybe you are not knowing this and are not free.
It is like a prisoner being told he has been freed but won’t walk out of the prison cell to be free. You are freed and free because you know this – that your old man/nature is dead. You can now walk in the Victory of the Resurrected Christ, your new Nature. Your sins are not being inputted to you. You are set free and no longer need to live in condemnation, fear, regret, blame, shame, unforgiveness, anger and bitterness.
You are pardoned. You have been given a new identity in Christ Jesus. You have a brand new passport and visa into the Kingdom of God. You have received a New Nature in Christ Jesus. You have a brand new start. You have been born again. You are the righteousness of God.
Life is in the Spirit, not the flesh/body. God is Spirit and HE breathed life, HIS SPIRIT, into Adam the body. Your body gets life in the spirit. The old spirit, old man, sinful nature is dead. These desires are gone and the new Spirit is alive with a desire to love the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul and strength.
This is the too-good-to-be-true Good News of the Gospel. You are Freed to be Free in Christ Jesus.
