If what you believe to be true turned out NOT to be true, when would you want to know?

Change your thinking toward truth. Traditions and doctrine have blocked the Truth about Jesus. Jesus is Truth.

Joseph was put into the pit by his brothers then sold into slavery. The brothers took Joseph’s coat and slaughtered a lamb then dipped the coat in the blood. They gave the bloody coat to Jacob as evidence so he would believe Joseph was dead.

What Jacob believed was not true. Joseph was actually alive preparing to save his family and many lives.

Now it is several years later and Joseph is the Governor of Egypt in Genesis 45.  Jacob is now presented with the truth by his sons. They tell him that Joseph is alive and Governor over Egypt. The sons have come back to tell their father the truth and bring him to Joseph.

²⁵ So they went up out of Egypt and came into the land of Canaan to Jacob their father,

²⁶ And they said to him, Joseph is still alive! And he is governor over all the land of Egypt! And Jacob’s heart began to stop beating and [he almost] fainted, for he did not believe them.

²⁷ But when they told him all the words of Joseph which he had said to them, and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived [and warmth and life returned].

²⁸ And Israel said, It is enough! Joseph my son is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.

Jacob did not believe his sons’ words that Joseph was still alive. It was when he saw the wagons (received God’s Grace) that he changed his thinking and received and believed. Warmth and life returned to Jacob and his named changed from Jacob to Israel. Then Israel went to see Joseph.

Are you believing you are a sinner, full of shame, guilt and condemnation or are you believing you are the “Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”? Jesus said, “it is finished.” Jesus bore all sin, death, shame, guilt, disease, curse and condemnation on the Cross with HIS BLOOD.

God is not angry at you. HE loves you and gave HIS SON as a sacrifice to exchange all mankind’s sin for HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Receive and believe that Jesus’ complete finished work on the cross redeemed you and made you the RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD in CHRIST JESUS. Joseph is a foreshadowing of Jesus. Jesus is alive. HE redeems, heals, saves, justifies, forgives all sin and makes us complete in HIM.
