Kingdom Living is Joy
Kingdom Living is Joy
Joy is an eternal condition of the heart through the Holy Spirit living in the born again follower of Jesus Christ. While happiness is temporal based upon circumstances.
Joy is eternal. Jesus suffered on the cross and counted it joy to know that the work of the enemy was defeated, and the curse had ended. HE said, “It is finished.” Jesus Christ on the cross brought salvation to all mankind. Jesus said it was finished and now the Holy Spirit could come and reside back in all mankind.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. Psalm 28:7
Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Psalm 95:1
Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Psalm 51:12
Then Hannah prayed: “My heart rejoices in the LORD! The LORD has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me.” 1 Samuel 2:1
Happiness is based upon circumstances and joy is based upon the Lord. Paul writes in prison, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Philippians 4:4
Happiness is getting a good job, pay raise or a nice gift. Joy is knowing the Father the giver, sustainer, redeemer and creator of life.
I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. James 15:11
The Joy of the Lord is your strength. Whatever your circumstance, problem or challenge, know your redeemer lives. HE is alive, and HIS joy is in you. HE is greater than the problem or circumstance. HE has given you authority and power over all the works of the devil.
Kingdom Living Joy is found in the Lord, the Word of God with the Holy Spirit living in you. Happiness changes based upon circumstances. Your Joy is completed in Christ Jesus.
