Kingdom Living is Freedom from Performance
Kingdom Living is freedom from performance
Let me be clear, the Anointed One has set us free—not partially, but completely and wonderfully free! We must always cherish this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past. Galatians 5:1 TPT
So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law. Galatians 5:1 NLT
Christ has set us free! This means we are really free. Now hold onto your freedom and don’t ever become slaves of the Law again.
This slavery to law and bondage is to think that your performance “by being good enough” will gain you righteousness and right standing with God. To have Liberty and Justice for all you have to change your thinking. The slavery and bondage is in your mind. You can never be good enough to win God’s favor. There is no performance which you can do which will give you right standing with God. It is what Christ did for you which gives you right standing with God. For most people this is a big change of thinking.
What Jesus did on the cross gave all mankind the freedom and liberty to receive right standing with God. Your righteousness is in Jesus, not in your thinking that you can become good enough to get to God. Your self-righteousness is as filthy rags.
Not your works, your efforts, or your self-righteousness will make you right with God. Only the finished work by Jesus on the cross brings liberty and justice to all. You are made righteous in Jesus. You receive JUSTICE on the cross in Jesus. You are HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS. HE exchanged all mankind’s sin for HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Wow! This is almost too good to be true. Jesus has set us free and gave all mankind liberty and justice from not being good enough.
You are no longer under the law of performance hoping you are good enough to get to heaven or flawed thinking that “my good” will outweigh “my bad.”
Yes, we can have liberty and justice for all in Christ Jesus. Jesus came to set all free from the curse of the law and performance.
In your new nature, in your born-again nature, you have the Righteousness of God living in you through the Holy Spirit. Christ is in you and you are in Christ. Your performance now is out of Agape love to serve and bring Honor to God out of thankfulness.
Yes, there is freedom and justice through the shed blood of Jesus on the cross to redeem all mankind back into the Kingdom of God.
