Kingdom Living is entering the narrow gate

Kingdom Living is entering the narrow gate – What Are You Holding On To?

“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to destruction is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way.” – Matthew 7:13

The gate leading toward destruction is wide open welcoming many who choose this path. The highway of destruction is full of traffic, so much so that the expressway to hell is backed up in a traffic jam. Many are seeking this path of destruction which Jesus describes as a wide gate.

The cost of following Jesus is giving up the path of destruction of fear, worry, blame, anxiety, lack, selfishness, regret, injustice, anger, sleepless nights, guilt, shame, condemnation and unforgiveness.

19 Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

21 Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”

22 But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”  – Matthew 8:19,21-22

Jesus is telling him to break with the Satanic Rule of this world. Leave Egypt, the land of slavery, cross the Jordan and enter the Promised Land of freedom and victory over your own thinking, desires and lusts for this world. When you enter my rest in the promised land, you will receive my provision, protection, peace, joy and love. When you invite all the Holy Spirit has for you into your life you will experience a peace which passes all understanding. You will experience sweet sleep without a guilt conscious. You will experience joy in difficult circumstances. You will experience the Agape Love of God living in you NOW.

Jesus came to redeem mankind from the curse of fear, anxiety, death, sleepless nights, anger and lack to bring us into the Kingdom of God’s Agape Love.

The cost of following Jesus was high for the rich man because he lacked receiving the abundance of God’s Agape Love. He trusted in this world more than God.

Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”  – Mark 10:21

The cost of discipleship is giving up the work cursed system of this world for Shalom Peace, Joy and the Righteousness we have in Christ Jesus. Jesus again says, “In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.” – Luke 14:33

Fill me with your Holy Spirit. You are my Shepherd, I will lack nothing because you live in me. You have given me ALL your spiritual blessings and have seated me in heavenly places.
