Kingdom Living in God’s Promises
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 2 Peter 1:4
God has given us HIS precious promises so you can participate in HIS divine nature and escape the corruption created by evil desires in this world.
- The world wants you to hate and not love.
- The world wants you to live in fear, not in faith and hope.
- The world wants you to live with condemnation, guilt and shame, not knowing that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
- The world wants you to think stuff satisfies the emptiness inside of you, not God.
- The world wants you to hold grudges and seek revenge, not forgive and live life in freedom.
- The world wants you to think faith is for weak people and you should be self-reliant, dependent on no one including God. You should be self-indulgent, live life to the fullest now, eat, drink and be merry. How is this working out?
God has given you HIS Very Great and Precious Promises through HIS Word so you can escape the temptations of the evil desires of this world. He wants you to know HIS love and that HE is not angry with you. HE wants you to know that HIS perfect love for you has removed all fear. HE wants you to know that all your sins past, present and future have been forgiven on the cross.
God has given you HIS Very Great and Precious Promises through HIS Word so you can experience and participate in HIS divine nature of love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control.
God has given you HIS Very Great and Precious Promises through HIS Word for your comfort so you have no fear. There is no need for you to fear knowing God is with you. Know that God is with you! This is a Very Great and Precious Promise – God is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Knowing God is with you changes your attitude and allows you to participate in HIS Divine Nature.
Walk in the confidence that God is with you as a highly favored child. Walk in the knowledge and promise that God imputed HIS righteousness to you on the cross. God loves you.
