Kingdom Living Cured
Kingdom Living Cured
Why are people afraid to be cured, healed and delivered?
When the demon-possessed man in Luke 8 was healed, delivered and cured the people were afraid.
34 When those tending the pigs saw what had happened, they ran off and reported this in the town and countryside,
35 and the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
36 Those who had seen it told the people how the demon-possessed man had been cured.
37 Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them, because they were overcome with fear. So he got into the boat and left. Luke 8:34-37 NIV
The demon-possessed man had been cured, healed and delivered. The people found the man who was filled with demons:
- Sitting at the feet of Jesus
- Dressed and clothed properly
- In his right mind
You would think people would celebrate when someone is sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed with the Robe of Righteousness, with the mind of Christ totally renewed, restored, forgiven, healed, cured and made whole in Jesus Christ. However, the people were afraid.
God’s perfect love for mankind casts out fear. The people’s rejection and disbelief of Jesus caused fear. The people’s rejection of the truth and disbelief that Jesus heals, restores, delivers, and forgives caused them to be afraid.
When the demon-possessed man saw Jesus, he said “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God?” He knew and called HIM the Most High God. He wanted to sit at Jesus’ feet, he wanted to be healed, and he wanted to be in his right mind.
The demon-possessed man’s faith that Jesus was the Most High God cured him. Jesus destroyed the works of the demonic on the cross. Jesus Christ’s complete work on the cross by HIS shed blood has cured and delivered you from the spirit of fear, inadequacy, rejection, lust, unforgiveness, insecurity, control, poverty, lack, oppression and sickness.
Receive HIS cure of healing and deliverance.
Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all HIS benefits–Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3
Celebrate, Praise and Bless the Lord for HIS goodness who crowns you with HIS love and compassion.
