It is finished.

It is finished. The complete work of Christ.

And when Jesus said it is finished – look at this – He declared not defeat. Not defeat, but victory. Victory. The unveiling of humanity’s redemption and union with God.

And so Jesus said, “It is finished” In John 19:30. And he was declaring the completion of God’s redemption plan. Not the end – look at this – Not the end of his life, but the fulfillment of his purpose.

So what was part of His purpose? What did He defeat when He said it’s finished? What we see here is he defeated satan – the accuser’s voice silenced and the scriptures that back that up. And what we see is the Victory statement that is Grace canceled the accusation.

Sin was the separation illusion – that we were separated and that has ended and scriptures that back that up. And sin lost its identity when you found yours. When you find your identity and the law of condemnation, the old covenant replaced with grace and you’re free from guilt. How about that? You’re free from guilt.

And then death, the grave conquered forever. And we talk about that a lot in a lot of our teachings. Our immortality is revealed – not death and decay, the curse and separation – it is the oneness restored. There’s no distance. Look at this. There’s no distance between God and man.

The works of the devil are defeated. Darkness destroyed. Light doesn’t fight darkness. It replaces it. And the flesh, the ego, the false self is crucified. The independent eye is gone. Only Christ remains.

The spiritual bondage broken. Humanity restored to authority. You reign in the finished kingdom.

Death defeated produces a bold faith, a healing expectation, authority over fear. Death delayed, which is a part of what we’ve been trained in and taught in by man, is passive waiting – Comfort theology. It’s fear of sickness and age. And death defeated is resurrection life now. Because we’ve had a lot of teachings on that. Spirit quickens mortal bodies. Eternal life begins now. And death delayed is resurrection postponed. It’s the body disposable. Salvation equals escape.

So what we see here is this scripture is just so important we grasp this. This is John 14:20 and this is in three different translations.

In the New King James: “At that day, you will know that I am in my father, you’re in me, and I am in you.”

And that day is when we awaken to that. That day happened 2,000 years ago.

And then the Passion translation: “So when that day comes, you will know for sure that I’m living in the Father and that you are one with me and I will be living in you.”

And here’s a note in the Passion translation: the day refers to the awakening revelation of resurrection life, the realization of our mutual indwelling with Christ and the Father.

And then in the Mirror translation: “In that day you will know that we are in seamless union. I am in the Father, you’re in me, and I am in you.”

The revelation of oneness unveils the mystery of the incarnation shared with all humanity. It is finished. We have been redeemed.

Amen and amen.
