So how do you identify?

Let’s look at this. And again, what we read here is in Colossians 3:10-11.

We stand fully identified. We are fully identified in the new creation, renewed in knowledge according to the pattern of the exact image of our creator. Let me say that again.

We stand fully identified in the new creation renewed in knowledge according to the pattern of the exact image – and likeness of God – our creator.

The revelation of Christ in us gives identity to the individual beyond anything anyone could ever be as a Greek or Jew – Greek or Jew, American or African, foreigner or famous, male or female, king or pawn. From now on, everyone is defined – look at this – by Christ.

Everyone is represented in Christ. Only one identity. There’s only one identity. It’s in Christ.

And what we see in Galatians 6:23, taking the weight off someone’s shoulder is fulfilling the law of Christ.

The message of grace removes, look at this, created burdens such as guilt, suspicion, inferiority, shame, and sin consciousness. Anyone who imagines to be someone they are not, look at this, lives a lie.

A law system sponsors pretense. But here it is, Grace. Grace reveals your true identity redeemed in Christ.

For you have acquired a new creation life which is continually being renewed into the likeness of the one who created you giving you the full revelation of God in this new creation life. So this again is Colossians 3:10-11 in the Passion translation.

Your nationality makes no difference nor your ethnicity, your education, nor your economic status. They matter nothing – for it is Christ that means everything as he lives in each one of us only.

There’s only one identity and that’s in Christ. Our nationality is the kingdom of God. Our ethnicity is the family of God. Our education is the wisdom of God. And our economic status is an heir of God.

Amen and Amen.
