The fraud committed against the unseen reality.
The fraud committed against reality – really unseen reality.
The fraud is the lie that the seen reality is determined primarily by external forces rather than by the internal the inner unseen life God designed to govern in inside man.
So what we’re doing is we’re looking at the natural versus the heavenly realities.
In other words, humanity was trained to believe the five senses which you see, hear, smell, taste, and touch so that the seen circumstances create identity and a belief system. Emotions and feelings define truth and build a belief system.
The seen of the natural realm produces a belief system. Fear is normal and becomes a belief system. And God acts instead of us. Let me make sure we get that. And God acts instead of us rather than through us and it becomes a belief system. That is fraud.
And here is Colossians 3:1-4. It’s really important. The heavenly realities and the natural realm.
“Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection too. This is why we yearn for all that is from above. That’s where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honor, and authority. We sit with him too in the heavenlies. So yes, feast on all the treasures.”
Here we go.
“Feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with here we come. Heavenly realities, the heavenly realities and not with the distractions of the natural realm. Your crucifixion with Christ has severed the tie to this life. And now your true life is hidden away in God in Christ. And as Christ himself is seen for who he really is, who you really are will also be revealed. For you are now one with him in glory.”
So if you want to know who you are, we need to understand who Christ is.
In the Mirror translation, verse two of Colossians comes in. “Becoming affectionately acquainted with throne room thoughts will keep you from being distracted again by the earthly soul ruled realm.”
And in the footnote in the Mirror: “set your minds upon the things that are above and not upon the things below.”
In the Revised Standard Version: “Whatever you face in your daily lives, acquaint yourselves with the greater the greater reality, the things that are above. Do not engage the energy of the things that are below.”
We’re not keeping any score of what seems so obvious to the senses on the surface. It is fleeting and irrelevant. It is the unseen eternal realm within us that is within us.
The Kingdom of God is within us which has our full attention and captivates our gaze. A renewed mind conquers the space previously occupied by worthless pursuits and habits. The heavenly realities is the reality of who we are with the kingdom of God living inside of us.
Amen and Amen.
