Forgot?
We forgot who we are!
What we read in 1 Peter 1:13 is how amazing is that?
Jesus is what the scriptures are about. And you and I are what Jesus is all about. Now wrap your minds around that.
This unveiling is what tied up all the loose ends that would trip you and frustrate your seamless transition from the old to the new.
The revelation of Jesus is no longer a future expectation.
Do not allow your old mindset of a of a future tense glory intoxicate you and distract you from the relevance of this moment. Stop pointing to a future Messiah. Jesus is who the prophets pointed to.
You and I are the fruit of his sufferings. You and I are the glorious resurrection generation.
Fully engage your minds with the consequence of this grace in the revelation of Jesus Christ. He completes your every expectation. We have forgotten who we are.
And in the original Eden mandate, we’ve forgotten what our role is and our purpose is! In Genesis 1:26-20: Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, subdue it, have dominion over all the earth.
So the four core components of our job is to be fruitful, produce life, abundance, and be a blessing to tell people to live it out that the joy of the Lord is our strength. To multiply, to produce the image and likeness of the culture of heaven across the earth. We are made in his image and likeness to fill the earth with God’s wonder.
Expand Eden’s order into every region into all the nations and subdue and have dominion.
We have the government of the kingdom of God.
We’re in partnership with God and we have the authority.
Amen and amen.
