Feast on Treasures of the Heavenly Realm
Okay, this is one of my favorite verses – Colossians 3:1-4. Christ’s resurrection is mine – it’s your resurrection, too! This is why we yearn – you and I yearn for what’s above – for that’s where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honor, and authority.
So, set your hearts on things above, not on earthly things.
And so, all power, Matthew 28:18, “all authority in Heaven and earth has been given to Me.”
That’s Jesus – and He’s given it to us in all honor.
Philippians 2:9-11 – Every knee will bow, every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
And so the authority in Ephesians 1:20-22 – God has seated Christ at his right hand in the heavenly places farabove all rule and authority. So He lives, He reigns, He’s exalted, and because He lives, you live raised with Him in new life.
And then the next verse is yes! Feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, not with the distractions of the natural realm. That’s so good. Feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts on heavenly realities, not with the distractions of the natural realm.
So what are some of those distractions?
The distractions of natural realm are worry, materialism, worldly pleasures, comparison, anxiety, and pride.
So set your mind on things above, not on the earthly things.
And here’s some of the treasures that we have:
The treasures of the Heavenly realm are God’s love, His promises, His purpose, His peace, His presence, eternal life.
And we experience the peace, the love, joy, peace, hope, and the purposes.
So feast on his truth. Think of his goodness. Live in his reality.
Amen and amen.
