The river carries Life. The imagery fits beautifully with Jesus declaration “Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
The River of Living Water is the Holy Spirit
Jesus said out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. Living Water represents the Holy Spirit and the divine life he communicates more than occasional experiences. It is the indwelling presence of God.
