Negligence in the Biblical sense.
Negligence in the Biblical sense is when we fail to act in agreement with God’s love, righteousness, and life.
Biblical negligence is the failure to exercise the care, diligence, love, wisdom, or responsibility that God calls us to demonstrate. Let me just say that again.
Biblically, negligence is the failure to exercise the care, diligence, love, wisdom, and responsibility that God calls us to demonstrate.
It’s not limited to doing something wrong.
It can also mean neglecting to do what is right.
This is particularly important when we understand that Christ lives in us.
The ew creation is not called to live from fear, guilt or condemnation, but from the love of righteousness and the life of Christ within.
So compassion is seeing a need and responding.
Stewardship is faithfully managing what is entrusted, choosing forgiveness instead of bitterness, love and action, putting truth into action.
Amen and amen.
