Agape Love

Agape Love is poured into your heart – into our hearts.

Romans 5:5 in the New King James Version – Now hope does not disappoint because the love of God, the love of God has been poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

This is one of the most important scriptures for understanding the teachings.

Paul describes something God has already done.

He does not say you must first work hard enough to persuade God to give you his love.

God has poured his love into the hearts of believers through the Holy Spirit.

You don’t have to invent God’s love.

You don’t have to earn God’s love.

You’re invited to receive, recognize, express the love of God, the love God has given us.

The Holy Spirit empowers you to love beyond your natural preferences.

Understand this as an impartation of God’s nature through the New Birth.

The implication is significant. Let me just say that again.

Understanding this is an impartation of God’s nature through the New Birth.

The implication is to Him. You’re not trying to get God to give you the love.

You are learning to live from the love He has already poured into your heart.
