Where the River Goes Life Appears
Let’s look at this.
Wherever the river goes, life appears.
Let me just say that again.
Wherever the river goes, life appears.
Ezekiel’s vision – Ezekiel 47:9. And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the river goes will live, for they will be healed, and everything will live forever.
Wherever the river goes, everything will live everywhere.
We go. The River lives. The river carries Life.
The imagery fits beautifully with Jesus declaration “Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
So the believer becomes a vessel through whom God’s love reaches earth.
So where does God’s Life flow?
Out of darkness into life.
Out of fear into peace.
Out of condemnation into righteousness.
Out of hopelessness into hope.
Out of bondage into freedom.
Out of brokenness into restoration.
Out of death to life.
The river carries the character of Life of its source.
It carries love, joy, peace, patience, uh truth and mercy, grace and power, life.
The same God – the same God who gives life – dwells in us by His Spirit and His Life flows through us to bring life to the world.
The river of God – God’s life never runs dry and is meant to flow.
