Opinions often become Strongholds.
Let’s look at what Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 10:5. Casting down imaginations – imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.
Notice that it’s being cast down. It’s cast down. Not facts. These aren’t facts. Facts describe reality and not the enemy.
Arguments – human arguments that oppose God’s truth, reasonings being cast out, prideful thinking that exalts us out, imaginations, thoughts, and mental pictures that that are not from God.
Opinions – opinions that contradict God’s knowledge, beliefs that oppose what God has said.
So these lies and opinions,
“I’m not good enough.” There’s a lie.
“It’ll never change. God doesn’t care.”
“I can’t do anything. There is no hope.”
The weapons of our warfare are mighty through God, training every thought, taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
And we seek the truth of God. We destroy strongholds and every thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. And we bring it into the obedience of Christ.
Let me just say that again.

Stand on God’s truth. Live in freedom. Walk in victory.
