Agreements are Temporary. Covenants are Eternal.

Agreements are Temporary. Covenants are Eternal.

Let’s look at this.

An agreement exchanges promises. A covenant exchanges lives.
Agreements create obligations. Covenants create relationships.
Agreements focus on performance. Covenants focus on belonging.
Agreements may expire. God’s covenant is enduring.
Agreements define responsibilities. Covenant defines identity.
Agreements ask what must I do? Covenant declares who’s am I?

A covenant produces inheritance because it creates identity.

Jesus did not die to offer a better agreement. He established a better covenant.

Covenant is the foundation for faith because it rests on God’s faithfulness, not merely human effort.

God’s covenant endures forever.

I’m a child of God, beloved, accepted heir, and redeemed.

God is faithful.

I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Amen and amen.
