Bones are a bunch of noise until the Breath of Life – the life-giving Spirit of God – is breathed into your bones.
The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
I said, “O Sovereign LORD, you alone know.”
Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath (life-giving SPIRIT) enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’” Ezekiel 37:1-6
God is in the life-giving business of taking very dry bones and bringing them to LIFE. HE raises bones from the dead and breathes HIS life-giving Spirit into very dry bones which come to LIFE forever by the Holy Spirit.
You, as Ezekiel, are to prophesy (speak) to the dry bones around you. These dry bones are in your own mind, your marriage, your family, your children, your co-workers, your friends, your Church, your small group, your community and your nation.
God breathed into Adam’s nostrils the breath of Life. Jesus breathed into the disciples the breath of Life the Holy Spirit. Jesus purpose for coming to earth was to bring the breath of Life to live permanently in man again through the Holy Spirit. Jesus brought the Holy Spirit in HIS Flesh. HE had to leave earth to go back to the Father, so that the Father Holy Spirit would come and remain in HIS children.
Speak the Word of God – the life-giving Spirit – to awaken the dry bones around you. Let the Words of your mouth and the meditations of your heart speak the Prophetic Life-Giving Spirit of God through you today.
Yes, these dry bones are alive with the breath of Life living in you through the Holy Spirit.
